How do Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) applications differ from eSignature plans?

IAM applications include more functionality than eSignature plans and provide an opportunity for eSignature customers to upgrade and enhance their current set of capabilities. The applications are designed and pre-packaged to transform how organizations manage end-to-end agreement processes. This includes the ability to customize workflows with modular capabilities via Docusign Maestro, available via IAM for Customer Experience.

What are ‘envelopes’ and how do they relate to my service subscription plan?

An ‘envelope’ is an electronic record containing one or more documents uploaded to the Docusign eSignature service for signature processing, and the unit by which usage allowances with Docusign eSignature plans are measured. An Envelope can have one or many signers. Envelopes have statuses (e.g., sent, delivered, completed, voided) and also contain information about the sender and timestamps that indicate the progress of the delivery procedure. Regardless of how many documents, fields and signers a given envelope contains, it still counts only once towards your eSignature plan’s Envelope allowance once it is sent out for signature.

How many envelopes can I send for signatures each month or year?

The number of envelopes you can send for signature depends on your plan.

eSignature Personal

Our eSignature Personal plan includes 5 envelopes every month. Once an envelope is sent, it will count toward this allowance whether or not the envelope is signed or completed. Should you need more than 5 envelopes per month, you can upgrade to an eSignature Standard or Business Pro plan.

eSignature Standard Unlimited and Business Pro Unlimited

With annual or monthly eSignature Standard Unlimited or Business Pro Unlimited subscriptions, you can send as many envelopes as you want through our web app. No limits, no extra costs.

Envelopes sent for signature using bulk send, PowerForms, Web Forms, custom APIs, or partner APIs will count toward your automation send allowance, which is 100 per user per year (annual subscriptions) or 10 per user per month (monthly subscriptions).

How do I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel my plan?

To make changes to your plan or account, including upgrades, billing, downgrades, and cancellations, go to Docusign Support. Find out how to downgrade or close your account.

Will my subscription renew automatically?

Yes, your subscription will automatically renew each month for monthly plans, and each year for annual plans.

Does everyone signing an agreement need to have a Docusign account?

No, recipients of your agreements do not need an account to sign with Docusign. Your agreement will be sent by email from dse@docusign.net. Recipients can review the document, adopt a signature, and complete the signing process without having a Docusign account.

How does Docusign protect my data?

Does Docusign offer a money-back guarantee?

Yes, for annual subscription plans purchased on Docusign.com (Personal, Standard, Business Pro, IAM Starter, IAM Standard, IAM Professional, Real Estate Starter, Real Estate, and REALTORS®) we offer a refund within 30 days of purchase. For monthly subscription plans, you can cancel your account at any time and you will not be charged for the next month.§

How long does the special pricing last?

The first-year and first-month specials are introductory rates for new customers for the first year or first month of billing (depending on your subscription type). When your subscription renews, your billing will reflect regular plan pricing.
