What is Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM)?

Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) is a new software category that transforms how organisations create, commit to and manage their agreements, and the relationships they define. Docusign IAM is a portfolio of applications built for the specific needs of individuals, teams, lines of business and industries. These applications empower people to accelerate revenue, reduce risk and unlock value from the agreements that run their organisation.

How do Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) applications differ from eSignature plans?

Intelligent Agreement Management (IAM) applications include more functionality than eSignature plans and provide an opportunity for eSignature customers to upgrade and enhance their current set of capabilities. With IAM, you can customise workflows with modular capabilities with Docusign Maestro. IAM enables you to centrally store, manage and analyse signed agreements with Docusign Navigator, a smart repository powered by Docusign Artificial Intelligence (AI). IAM applications include IAM for Sales and IAM for Customer Experience, which are structured to meet end-to-end agreement needs for lines of business. The IAM Core application has multiple plans – Standard, Professional and Enterprise – available for all audiences, which are structured to solve the end-to-end agreement needs of organisations of all sizes and specialities.

Can I switch from an eSignature plan to an IAM application?

Yes, you can upgrade from your existing eSignature plan to an IAM application by contacting our sales team. Some restrictions may apply based on your region.

What’s an envelope and how does it relate to documents in my plan?

An envelope is a container for documents that you send to a recipient to sign. An envelope can have one document or many documents, and one signer or many signers. Envelopes have statuses (e.g., sent, delivered, completed, voided) and also contain information about the sender and timestamps that indicate the progress of the delivery procedure. Regardless of how many documents, fields and signers a given envelope contains, it still counts only once towards your eSignature plan’s envelope allowance once it is sent out to be signed.

How many envelopes can I send each month or year with my IAM plan?

Your allowance depends on your method of sending envelopes. Envelopes sent through web app
 For IAM Standard or Professional, you can send unlimited envelopes using the Docusign web application or mobile application. IAM Starter envelope limits apply to envelopes sent through the web app and all other sending methods. For annual IAM Starter plans, you can send 100 envelopes per user per year, and for monthly IAM Starter plans, you can send 10 envelopes per user per month. Automation sends Annual IAM Standard or IAM Professional plans include a total of 100 automation sends per user per year across Web Forms, PowerForms, Bulk Send and envelopes sent with custom and partner API integrations. Are AI-powered data extractions available in every language?

How do I upgrade, downgrade or cancel my plan?

To make changes to your plan or account, including upgrades, billing, downgrades and cancellations, go to Docusign Support. Find out how to downgrade or close your account.

Will my subscription renew automatically?

Yes, your subscription will automatically renew each month for monthly plans, and each year for annual plans.

Does everyone signing an agreement need to have a Docusign account?

No, recipients of your agreements do not need an account to sign with Docusign. Your agreement will be sent by email from dse@docusign.net. Recipients can review the document, adopt a signature and complete the signing process without having a Docusign account.

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

Yes, for annual subscription plans purchased on Docusign.com (Personal, REALTORS®, Real Estate, Standard and Business Pro), we offer a refund within 30 days of purchase. For monthly subscription plans, you can cancel your account at any time and you will not be charged for the next month.§

  • The 30-day refund option may only be used once per customer. When you sign up for a Docusign eSignature subscription plan, you must agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Notice for use of the Docusign service.   • The Docusign Payments feature is only available to customers who purchase Business Pro or Enhanced plans and for the currencies and countries supported by the payment gateways shown in the Docusign Payment Field FAQs.
